Cyanocitta cristata - Birds

Primary Identification

Easily recognized by the unique combination of the bright blue, black, and white coloring as well as the pronounced crest on the head. While there are other blue birds in North America, none contain black and white, or the obvious crest.

The Blue Jay is also rather large and aggresive compared to other Nort American songbirds, but it's coloring alone is sufficient to make it one of the easiest birds to recognize.
